Part Time / Volunteer

After 46 years serving the community HOPE is in a critical rebuild period. We are in need of volunteers to help us continue our service to the formerly incarcerated, their families and the community at-large. Our part-time volunteer roles are designed to be flexible to the volunteer’s availability.

Description:

This role will be responsible for administrative duties in maintaining HOPE virtual and physical offices.  This may include client communication and coordination of client and/or family appointments with Case Managers, collaboration with the Executive Director on organizational development, and maintaining office files and organization. The Office Manager will also support HOPE community outreach activities such as the food pantry, clothing drive and community events.

The ideal candidate for this position must possess:

  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to juggle several projects
  • Exceptional people skills to aid in client communication and family outreach
  • Strong Project Management and Time Management skills

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as an Officer Manager, preferably with a nonprofit or grassroots organization
  • Knowledge of the criminal justice system and a passion for criminal justice reform
  • Knowledge of Office 365 suite, specifically Outlook, MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

This is an unpaid, volunteer position requiring at least 15 hours per week. Specific hours and days of weeks are negotiable.
